Queen Victoria’s South Africa 1900 Chocolate Tin and Contents, 2nd Lieut. C.F.I. Wimberley, 1st Battalion the Welsh Regiment, Died of Wounds Driefontein 12th March, 1900, the tin in very good condition and with the whole of its original contents with included hand written emotive message ‘Francis’ chocolate box sent home after his death, sold together with a copy photograph of Wimberley, details of his military career and family detail extracts from Burkes Landed Gentry. Sold together with Princess Mary’s 1914 Gift Tin, this with greetings card and replacement pencil, a papier mache snuff box featuring ‘photograph’ of Queen Victoria in old age on the lid, a small sweet tin featuring Edward VIII as Colonel-in-Chief of the Seaforth Highlanders, some paint loss to the last item otherwise very good overall condition (4) £250-350
