5th Penllergaer Glamorgan Rifle Volunteers Insignia, the first being a two part blackened brass shako plate of 1861 - 68 size being a crowned eight pointed star with pinned through coiled bugle horn this with script ‘GRV’ within the coil, two lug fasteners; the second a plated white metal pouch belt plate being the crown over large script capitals ‘GRV’ now incorrectly fitted with four loop fasteners; the third a pouch badge being a crowned white metal bugle horn with applied bronze Prince of Wales’s crest and motto upon the strings, three screw post fasteners, a small hole in the crest on the third item otherwise good overall condition £150-250
