43rd (Monmouthshire Light Infantry) Regiment Other Ranks Shako Plate 1829 - 1839, an extremely rare example in die stamped brass being the crown over a multi-rayed star with central design of a strung bugle horn enclosing ‘43’, at least 12 ray finials are missing or badly buckled, a large fracture from the left hand base of the crown towards the bugle horn, a small hole above the strings of the bugle horn, a jewel missing from the orb and cross and lacking both lug fasteners £250-350

Note: The other ranks shako plates for this period are extremely rare as the weak nature of their construction led to their replacement in 1839.
