23rd (Royal Welch Fusiliers) Regiment Officer’s Albert Shako Grenade c. 1844 - 1855, a magnificent and rare example being a gilt fused grenade, the flames in ‘dead’ gilt the ball in burnished gilt, on the ball in silver the Prince of Wales’s crest and motto (KK 87b) complete with all four lug fasteners, one minute section of a flame finial lacking otherwise very fine condition £600-800
