23rd (Royal Welch Fusiliers) Regiment Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate c. 1840 - 1855, a very example, the seeded gilt rectangular back plate with large fused gilt grenade mount, on the ball a circle ‘Royal Welch Fusileers’ enclosing the Prince of Wales’s crest and motto, the coronet in silver over ‘XXIII’, above the circle St. Edward’s crown in silver, complete with two hook and two stud fasteners, very good condition £600-800
