Frederick James Davidson was appointed a Warrant Officer Class 2 and Bandmaster in the 1st Battalion, Welsh Regiment in August 1930 and represented the regiment at the Coronation in 1937. Advanced to Warrant Officer Class 1 in the 2nd Battalion in February 1939, he retired from his duties as Bandmaster in 1948; sold with copied photograph and research, the latter showing his entitlement to another award.
