The Waterloo medal awarded to Drummer John Farrow, 69th Foot, who was wounded in the left leg at Quatre Bras

Waterloo 1815 (John Farrow, Drummer, 2nd Batt. 69th Reg. Foot.) fitted with original steel clip and ring suspension, minor edge bruising, otherwise better than very fine £2000-2600

John Farrow was born in the Parish of Dereham, Norfolk, and enlisted into the 69th Foot on 9 April 1812, aged 16 years. He was discharged at Colchester on 30 July 1816, in ‘consequence of having received a Gun Shot Wound of Left Leg in action with the Enemy at Quatre Bras on the 16th June 1815.’ Sold with copied discharge papers.
