This and the following four lots, as well as lots 956-963 sold in these rooms on 9 June 2016, form part of a family group of personal papers and war medals consigned for auction. They were originally owned by Brigadier Torquil MacLeod, RA, and his wife, Winifred Mary ‘Susan’ Macleod, Hong Kong Volunteer Nursing Service, who were both captured at the fall of Hong Kong in 1939.
