The Peter Preston-Morley Library of Token Books, Buckinghamshire: The original notebook recording the collection of Bucks 17th century tokens formed by Sir Ambrose Heal, catalogued by Edwin Hollis, September 1934, including prices paid and noting which specimens were given to Wycombe Museum, December 1945; together with seven ALS from Edwin Hollis to Heal, dated 1927-34, and one ALS from J.O. Manton to Hollis, 12 April 1927, all relating to Bucks tokens, and especially issues of Colnbrook and Horton; a typescript list of William Gilbert’s 17th century Bucks tokens, 57 pieces, sold to Aylesbury Museum in August 1929 for £40; a detailed list of Heal’s collection compiled by Preston-Morley, describing die varieties, axes and weights; Hollis, E., Some Additional Trade Tokens of Bucks, Aylesbury, 1932, 5pp, 1 engraved plate [Lot]. A unique and most interesting record (£80-100)
