Great Britain, Midland Counties Institution of Engineers, a silver-gilt award medal by Fattorini, Victory placing a wreath on seated male artisan, colliery view behind, rev. legend, named (Awarded to Alan Hill, 1949-50), hallmarked Birmingham 1950, 44mm; Midland Counties Institution of Engineers, Past President’s badge, a silver-gilt and multicoloured enamel badge by Fattorini, building above instruments of mining, back named (Alan Hill, 1950-1951), hallmarked Birmingham 1950, 65 x 45mm; Institution of Mining Engineers, Notts & N. Derbys. Branch, Cavendish Centenary medal, a bronze medal, unsigned [by Fattorini], bust of Lord Edward Cavendish three-quarters left, rev. legend, named (A. Hill, Esq., OBE 1971), 58mm [3]. Virtually as struck, a most attractive and rare group associated with mining; all in original fitted cases as issued (£80-100)

Lord Edward Cavendish (1838-91), president of the Chesterfield and Derbyshire Institute of Engineers, 1871-88. The last medal was given to the recipient on 16 June 1971
