George I, Accession, 1714, a white metal medal with copper plug, unsigned [by G.W. Vestner], laureate bust right, rev. star in midst of the constellation of Leo, regnorvm albionis, etc., 44mm (MI 421/4; E 464 [neither recorded as white metal]). Minor spotting on reverse rim, otherwise extremely fine and retaining much original brilliance, very rare in this metal (£100-120)
The reverse design is symbolic of George I being proclaimed King on 1 August 1714
