A Danish silver ‘butterfly’ bracelet, by Georg Jensen, designed by Edvard Kindt-Larsen, composed of a line of shaped and flared baton links, to a baton and ring clasp stamped ‘Sterling Denmark’, with post-1945 maker’s mark, numbered ‘104A’, and with import marks, length 19cm. £200-300

Edvard Kindt-Larsen (1901-1982) was a Danish architect and furniture designer, who also worked in the area of applied arts. He often worked with his wife Tove Kindt-Larsen, a fellow architect and accomplished designer. Both had studied under Kaare Klint at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in the late 1920s. From the 1930s to 1960s, the couple were amongst Denmark’s most prominent designers, active in the areas of architecture, furniture, silver, textiles and jewellery.
