10th (North Lincoln Regiment) Hall Marked Silver Mess Table Lighter, of ornate baluster form, 16 cms high and mounted on an square ebony base, the lower part is engraved with the Sphinx over laurel sprays these enclose H.M/X, Peninsular, Sutledge (sic), Punjab, the base engraved ‘Presented to the Officers 10th Regiment by Surgeon A. Wood, 10 Feb 1852’ (hall marks severely rubbed), the upper section which is most probably a replacement is hall marked London 1878, good condition £150-250
