Memorial Plaque (William Smallwood) good very fine £ 50-60

Attributed to Serjeant William Smallwood, 11th Hussars. Killed in action on 30 March 1918, aged 29 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial. He was the son of Mr & Mrs Albert Smallwood, of High Street, East Malling; and husband of Joan E. Smallwood, of 7 Abbey Terrace, High Street, East Malling, Kent.

Two other ‘William Smallwoods’ are listed on the CWGC website but both are with second christian names /initials.
