‘In his capacity as a Driver by the Central Mechanical Equipment Department for the Ministry of Home affairs, Mr Mubaiwa has steadfastly and loyally driven Government vehicles throughout the operational areas in the Districts of Rushinga and Darwin over a period of six years, during the course of which his vehicle detonated eleven landmines. In spite of his experiences he has cheerfully and courageously continued to carry out his duty setting a fine example and earning the highest respect from his superiors.’

Medal awarded on 7 December 1979. One of two of such medals awarded to men with that rank - ‘Principal District Security Assistant’. With original citation.
