G.B., Crimea 1854-56, no clasp, unnamed; France, War Commemorative Medal 1870-71, with clasp, Engage Volontaire; 1870-71 War Veterans’ Badge, with clasp, Membre Honoraire, first with edge bruising, good very fine (3) £140 -180

With French Imperial award document for the British Crimea Medal with clasp Sebastopol, awarded to Jean Vetzel, 2e Servant, 1er Régiment d’Artillerié, dated 2 November 1856; ‘Option for French Nationality’ form, dated 1872, named to Jean Wetzel (note different spelling) which gives his place and date of birth as Grosrederching, Moselle, 22 January 1833; together with a third French document, without name, relating to the British Crimea Medal. Documents stained and creased; last badly creased, damaged and repaired.
