Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Relief of Mafeking, Orange Free State, Transvaal (93886 Dr. E. Dollery, M Bty., R.H.A.) edge bruise, good very fine, rare £400-460

Edward Dollery was born in Lambeth, London. A Farrier by occupation and a member of the 3rd Battalion Royal West Surrey Regiment, he attested for regular service with the Royal Artillery at London on 28 October 1892, aged 18 years, 9 months. Served with the R.H.A. in India, February 1894-December 1898 and then with ‘M’ Battery in South Africa, February 1900-October 1901. Two sections of the battery served in the Flying Column in the relief of Mafeking. Transferred to the Army Reserve in April 1902; discharged on 27 October 1904. With copied service papers.
