Unique combination of clasps to the Royal Artillery.

William Davison was born at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, and was a miller by trade. He served in the Royal Artillery for 8 years 2 months, and was discharged on 19 September 1814. He attended an examination of invalid soldiers held at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea on 31 August 1852, when it was recorded that he was ‘wounded both eyes and nose broken by a bombshell at Ciudad Rodrigo and wounded left shoulder at Badajoz.’ He was then residing at Southwell, Notts., and was granted a pension of 9d per diem.
