British War and Victory Medals (58035 Pte., R.W. Fus.); together with two Westmoreland County Council School Attendance Medals, bronze, reverse impressed, ‘Albert G. Walker 1906’; another, named with the date ‘1907’, both with ornate pin-backed top bars, good very fine (4) £50-70

Albert Gordon Walker was born in 1899. He was called up for service in September 1917 and posted to the South Wales Borderers Training Reserve. In April 1918 he was posted to the 11th Battalion South Wales Borderers in France but in May was transferred to the 18th Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Post war he was transferred to Class ‘Z’ Reserve. With copied m.i.c. and service papers on paper and C.D.
