Highrs.) repair to carriage between first and second clasps; Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 5 clasps, Cape Colony, Paardeberg, Driefontein, Johannesburg, Belfast (3756 Cpl., Gordon Highrs.); King’s South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps (3756 Serjt., Gordon Highrs.) contact marks, nearly very fine and better (3) £320-380

Kenneth McLeod was born in Stornaway. A Clerk by occupation and a former member of the 3rd Battalion Seaforth Highlanders, he attested for the Gordon Highlanders at Bristol on 2 March 1891, aged 22 years. 9 months. With the 1st Battalion he served in the East Indies, February 1892-October 1898 - seeing service in the Chitral Relief Expedition; on the Punjab Frontier and in the Tirah Expedition. He then served in Egypt, October-December 1898 and then South Africa, November 1899-October 1902. He was slightly wounded at Doornkop, 29 May 1900. Serjeant McLeod was discharged at Perth on 20 May 1910, being found medically unfit for further service. With copied service papers.
