Three: Private Michael McDonald, 2nd Foot

Michael McDonald was born in the Parish of Tallo, County Wexford, and was attested for the 2nd Foot at Manchester on 17 August 1841, aged 18 years, a painter by trade. He served abroad in the East Indies for 3 years 9 months, at the Cape of Good Hope for 8 years 6 months, and in China for 7 months. He was discharged at Aldershot on 23 August 1862. He was admitted briefly to In-Pension at Chelsea on 1 October 1885, but reverted to Out-Pension on 1 July 1886. Sold with copied discharge papers.
