Military Medal, G.V.R. (R-13533 Pte., 2/K.R. Rif. C.); 1914-15 Star (R-13533 Pte., K.R. Rif. C.); British War and Victory Medals (R-13533 Pte., K.R. Rif. C.) together with original Fourth Army Certificate of congratulations for ‘the gallantry and devotion to duty for which you have been awarded the Military Medal’, signed by General Rawlinson and dated 28th Feb. 1919, very fine (4) £250-300

Private George Wheeler served in France with the 2nd Battalion, King’s Royal Rifle Corps, from 19 November 1915. He transferred to ‘Z’ Army Reserve on 2 March 1919.
