Harry Baldwin was born in 1886 at Hereford and joined the Royal Navy in 1903. For most of the Great War he served aboard the pre-dreadnaught battleship Swiftsure .

Sidney Ralph Baldwin was born in Ross, Hereford and enlisted at Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Serving with the 2nd battalion South Lancashire Regiment, he was killed in action on 22.3.1918. His name is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France.
