12th Division V.A.D. Voluntary Hospital Service Medal, bronze, with ‘M’ riband fitment and clasp dated ‘1915’, the upper brooch-bar further engraved, ‘September 1914’, and the reverse of the medal, ‘E. McClare’, with inscription in relief, ‘For Faithful Service at Hamerton 3rd Dhm. V.A. Hospital during the Great War 1914-1918’; County of Durham V.A.D. Workers’ Medal, gilt metal and enamel, with blue enamelled brooch-bar, the reverse of the medal engraved, ‘875 E. McClare’, with inscription in relief, ‘For Services Rendered during the Great War 1914-1919’, both contained in a B.R.C.S. card box inscribed to another family member, nearly extremely fine, scarce (2) £40-60
