Crimea 1854-56, 3 clasps, Alma, Inkermann, Sebastopol (... Wm. Kingston, 49th Regt.), privately impressed naming, edge bruising and contact marks, good fine £140-180

In 1847 when a Lance Corporal, Kingston was tried and convicted by Court Martial for allowing two prisoners to escape whilst in command of a detachment barrack guard; for which he was reduced to Private. He had attained the rank of Sergeant at the time of his discharge in 1866. Clasps confirmed. Sold with copied service papers.
