Padambahadur Rana, who was born in 1939 and enlisted in November 1957, served variously in India, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Borneo in a career spanning 12 years, and was mentioned in despatches for Malaya (London Gazette 1 December 1959 refers). Rana was discharged in Singapore in November 1969.
