Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Lucknow (Cr. Serjt., 3rd Bn. Rifle Bde.); India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, North West Frontier (2435 Pte., 3 Bn. Rif. Bde.); Volunteer Force Long Service (India & Colonies), V.R. (Lieut., E.I. Ry. Volr. Rifle Corps); Volunteer Officers’ Decoration (India & Colonies), V.R.I. cypher (Captn., E.I. Ry. Vol. Rifles) the reverse hallmarked Birmingham 1896, complete with top suspension brooch, good very fine and scarce (4) £500-600

Color-Sergeant Edward Fraser transferred to the Indian Army on 6 June 1860. He joined the East Indian Volunteer Rifle Corps on 1 March 1889, as Lieutenant, and was promoted to Captain on 10 June 1898. He was awarded the Volunteer Officers’ Decoration on 17 February 1899 and retired shortly afterwards.
