Military General Service 1793-1814, 7 clasps, Barrosa, Vittoria, Pyrenees, Nivelle, Nive, Orthes, Toulouse (Wm. Haines, Corpl. 95th Foot, Rifles) contact marks and edge bruising, otherwise nearly very fine £1000-1200

William Haines was born at Loughborough, Leicestershire, and enlisted there for the 95th on 4 April 1809. He was wounded in the left arm at Nivelle, and fought at Waterloo with Captain Eaton’s Company of the 2nd Battalion. He was discharged on 27 May 1816, and was still alive in October 1867 when he was in receipt of a pension of 9d per day.
