Private Edward Collier was slightly wounded at Rietpan on 16 January 1901. He is also entitled to the clasp ‘South Africa 1901’. During the Great War he served with the Manchester Regiment in France from 9 February 1915. He subsequently transferred to the Labour Corps, was discharged on 21 November 1918, and awarded the Silver War Badge.
