Roderick McKenzie was born in the Parish of Redcastle, near the town of Dingwall in Scotland. He attested for service in the 1st Cameron Highlanders in 1895, aged 22 years. Promoted Lance Corporal in 1898, Corporal in 1898, Sergeant in 1902; he was discharged in 1907 after completing his period of service. Sold with copied service papers.
