Isaac Mirtle was born in Galashiels and enlisted into the Cameron Highlanders at Inverness in 1892, aged 18 years 9 months. He was discharged in 1904 after seeing active service in the Sudan and South Africa. Sold with copied service papers and a photocopy of a photograph of the recipient.
