David Wallace was born at Invergordon, Rosshire and lived at Fletchertown, Cumberland. He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 9 August 1915, whilst serving with the 6th Battalion, Border Regiment. His name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
