Special Constabulary Medal, G.V.R. (Thomas W. Cheetham); together with Hartlepool Special Constabulary Medal 1914-1918, silver, 35mm, obverse with crest of Hartlepool, reverse inscribed ‘Borough of Hartlepool Special Constable, Bombardment 1914, Air Raids 1915-18, Zeppelin Destroyed 1916’, with original claw and straight bar suspension, nearly extremely fine and the second rare (2) £300-350

Sold with confirmation that Thomas W. Cheetham was a member of the Hartlepool War Emergency Committee.

Approximately 116 special silver medals were issued to members of the Hartlepool Special Constabulary for their services during the Great War.
