Sold with photocopies of a newspaper, dated January 1913, providing details of the disputed claim of David Prentice Menzies of Plean Castle, Stirlingshire, to succeed to the Baronetcy of Menzies, created in 1665. The claim was not upheld and the title was deemed to have become extinct with the death of the 8th (and last) Baronet, Sir Neil James Menzies, on 21.12.1910.
