Private James William Ellis, was born in Bexhill and enlisted at Eastbourne, Sussex. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment he was killed in action in Mesopotamia on 24.7.1915 and was buried in the Basra War Cemetery, Iraq.

Private Thomas John Harvey was born in Tunbridge Wells and enlisted at Tonbridge, Kent. Serving with the 1st Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment he died of wounds, France / Flanders, on 21.7.1916, aged 32 years and was buried in Caterpillar Valley Cemetery, Longueval, France.

Private Harry George Kingston was born in Deptford and enlisted at Woolwich, Kent. Serving with the 6th Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment he was killed in action, France / Flanders, on 7.10.1916, aged 21 years. His name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.

Sergeant Harry Southby was born in Riverhead, near Sevenoaks, Kent. Enlisting into the 1/4th Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment, he transferred to the 2/4th Battalion and served in Gallipoli. Attaining the rank of Sergeant, he was discharged in 1919.

Private Walter Thomas Grief was born in New Lakenham, Norfolk and enlisted at Willesden, London. Serving with the 8th Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment he was killed in action, France / Flanders on 26.9.1915. His name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
