John Frizzelle was born and enlisted at Manchester. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 10 August 1916 whilst serving with the 2/6th Battalion, attached 21st Battalion, Manchester Regiment. His name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
