John Renwick was born and enlisted in Manchester. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 18 August 1916 whilst serving with the 2/7th Battalion, Manchester Regiment, attached 1st Battalion, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. His name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
