William Marrison was born at Castleton, Derby and enlisted at Buxton, Derby. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 12 October 1916 whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers. His name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
