Second Lieutenant Harold Nicholson Lewis was killed in action in France and Flanders on 18 October 1917, whilst serving with the 1/2nd Battalion, attached 17th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers. His name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
