Sold with copy of the roll which notes: ‘Campaign in Oude in 1858-9. Present at the advance on and occupation of Fyzabad 29th July, passage of the Goomty 26th & 27th August, repulse of the enemy from Sultanpoor 28th August, passage of the Gogra 25th November, and affairs at Mutchleegoan 6th December 1858, and Kumdakoti 4th January 1859.’ The roll further notes that he subsequently transferred to the 3rd Bengal Cavalry.
