R.H.S. Case No. 30,861: ’21 August 1900 on the River Thames at Putney, Turner and P.C. Meadows, both off duty, were in separate boats. Meadows’ boat capsized as he turned it in deep water 50 yards from the bank. Turner jumped in, caught Meadows and swam with him to the bank.’ Sold with career details.
