Awarded to officers with good conduct records for at least five years to commemorate the visit of Queen Victoria to the city on 9 October 1851. Each period of five years was signified by the addition of a bar up to a maximum of three. A total of 112 medals were awarded at a parade held at Hatton Garden on 5 August 1872. Divisional Inspector Thomas Quick was the senior recipient of this medal, of which only 14 were awarded with three bars. Sold with full research and roll of recipients.
