D.C.M. London Gazette 3 September 1919: ‘For continuous good work during the past six months while in action. He has always shown great coolness under shell fire, and his behaviour has been an excellent example to all.’

H.L. Warren, who was from Tufnell Park, was serving with 1/2nd (London) Heavy Battery, R.G.A., at the time of the above award.
