Vietnam 1964 (311301); South Vietnam Medal 1964 (311301), the first stamped ‘R’ for replacement and with crudely re-engraved naming, the second with similarly crude naming, good very fine (2) £40-60

Alfred Edwin Philip Gentry was born in August 1931 and enlisted in the Australian Army in England in August 1960. Posted to the Royal Australian Armoured Corps, he served in Vietnam with the 1st Armoured Personnel Carrier Troop, attached 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, between May 1965 and June 1966. Entitled to wear a United States Meritorious Unit Citation, Gentry was discharged in August 1966.
