M.S.M. London Gazette 12 December 1919. Honours for service in Russia 1919.

In a letter to Rear Admiral and S.N.O. White Sea, the commanding officer of H.M.S.
Glory wrote: ‘C. L. Tomsett, Ch. Shipwt. (Time served with Glory - 12 months) “... Brought to notice in connection with the North Russian Operations during last 12 months... Selected from large number of Petty Officers and men... service most valuable... cannot speak too highly of the loyal and energetic manners he always carried out duties.” (Ref ADM 137/1704)
