Ashantee 1873-74, 1 clasp, Coomassie (Ord., H.M.S. Bittern, 73-74); Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, 2 clasps, Alexandria 11th July, Suakin 1885 (A.B. H.M.S. “Agincourt”) light contact marks, otherwise very fine (2) £200-250

Not entitled to Coomassie clasp.

Henry Brooking Soady was born at Sheviock, Cornwall, on 15 October 1853, and entered the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 8 June 1868. During the Suakin operations of 1885 he was serving aboard
Monarch. He was frequently disrated during his career but eventually rose to be Petty Officer 1st Class and was shore-pensioned in October 1891. Sold with copy service records.
