no clasp (Ensign, 1st Bn. 60th Rifles); China 1857-60, 2 clasps, Taku Forts 1860, Pekin 1860 (Li[eut.]., 2nd Bn. 60th Rl. R[ifles]), officially impressed naming, the last with refixed suspension claw, edge bruising and contact wear, good fine (2) £400-500

Henry Richard Treeve served throughout the Oude campaign in 1858, including the actions of Pusgaon and Rissoolpore, the attack and capture of Fort Mittowlie and the action at Biswah. Again in action throughout the operations in China in 1860, he was present at the actions of Sinho, the taking of Tang-ku and at the surrender of Pekin. Afterwards transferring to the Border Regiment, he retired as a a Lieutenant-Colonel in the mid-1890s.
