Ex Douglas-Morris Collection.

William Adams joined the Royal Navy as Carpenter’s Crew in September 1847 and went on to witness active service in the Crimea War aboard H.M.S.
Wasp, initially as a Caulker in the Sebastopol operations, and latterly as an Able Seaman in the Naval Brigade employed at Inkermann. He received his L.S. & G.C. Medal in April 1868.
