West Kent Yeomanry, a Victorian Lieut-Colonel’s uniform elements comprising a full dress pouch and belt, the red moroccan and silver laced pouch with silver flap, this mounted with large gilt crowned ‘VR’ cypher, the shoulder belt with silver herring bone lace and central red stripe complete with pricker plate chains and guard, buckle tip and slide, hall marked en-suite London 1863, two sets of black overalls both with double silver lace stripes; one pair of strech levee dress pantaloons these with one broad silver lace stripe and two outer narrow stripes; an officer’s black cloth shell jacket this with red facings and ornate silver lace decoration, five silver toggle fasteners to the front, correct Lieut-Colonel’s sleeve collar and shoulder rank decoration, shoulder cords with unit finial buttons, the jacket named to ‘Colonel Edmeades WKY’, the silver tip mount on the shoulder belt re-affixed with two small brass rivets, the shell jacket with some moth ‘peppering’, otherwise in excellent overall condition (5) £450-550
