The Order of the British Empire, M.B.E. (Military) 1st type, Ladies breast badge, with original Warrant named to Miss Ethel Theodora Clegg, 3 June 1918, good very fine £60-80

Ethel Clegg joined the Women’s Legion, Military Cooking section, in August 1916. She worked at Folkestone Rest Camps until transferred to Headquarters Chatham Garrison, February 1918; promoted Deputy Controller, Eastern Command, February 1918, and transferred to Q.M.A.A.C. Headquarters Staff, Eastern Command, London, 1919, and was demobilised in November of that year.
